Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reported that former San Diego Padres assistant hitting coach Oscar Bernard will have the same role with the Giants. Barnard will work alongside lead hitting coach Pat Burrell. The Giants made Bernard's hiring official Thursday, per Justice Delos Santos of Mercury News. 12/05/24 | SF Giants hire Oscar Bernard, Damon Minor as assistant hitting coaches. The Giants announced on Thursday afternoon that they have hired Oscar Bernard and Damon Minor to serve as assistant hitting coaches under manager Bob Melvin and hitting coach Pat Burrell. Additionally, Taira Uematsu was promoted to major-league quality control coach.
