10/14/24 | Padres predicted to cut ties with projected $38 million All-Star this winter. The San Diego Padres are going to be one of the teams to watch this winter. Under president of baseball operations A.J. Preller, the Padres have never been known to play things conservatively. Outfielder Jurickson Profar was phenomenal for the Padres in 2024, making his first career All-Star team after signing a one-year, $1 million contract to return to his former team. The Padres simply wouldn't have gone as far as they did without him, yet there's still every chance Profar might not be back in 2025. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/padres-pr... |

A San Diego team that had a 2-1 lead in the National League Division Series, saw the final games slip away from them. Jurickson Profar put the blame on themselves and was reluctant to give praise to the Dodgers pitching staff. “It's very hard,” Profar told Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune. 10/09/24 | Padres warn fans about abusive behavior ahead of NLDS Game 3 against Dodgers. The San Diego Padres have reminded fans about their zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior ahead of Game 3 of their NL Division Series against rival Los Angeles, which turned contentious Sunday night when tempers flared on the field and in the stands at Dodger Stadium. Game 2 was delayed for 12 minutes after rowdy fans tossed baseballs in the direction of San Diego left fielder Jurickson Profar, and then threw trash onto the outfield. Profar had robbed Mookie Betts of a home run in the first inning, reaching into the stands behind the low left-field wall. Source: https://www.chron.com/sports/article/padres-warn-f... |
