9/10/24 The 2024 Minnesota Twins are a story of self-inflicted wounds. The Minnesota Twins are still in position to make the playoffs, but barring a deep run in October, the 2024 season is going to be remembered as a disaster. There have been reasons for optimism — like the rise of rookies Brooks Lee, David Festa and Zebby Matthews, and breakout performances by Willi Castro and Matt Wallner — but those bright spots are covered in darkness by a series of storms, some unexpected and others self-inflicted. The first red flags came well before the Twins arrived in Fort Myers, Fla. for spring training. The business decision to reduce payroll appeared to be directly related to the lost revenue from the 2023 television debacle involving the Twins and bankrupt Bally Sports operator Diamond Sports Group.

8/04/24 Twins' switch-hitting Brooks Lee happy to finally see success from left side of the plate. The switch-hitting Brooks Lee has generally been more consistent from the left side of the plate than the right during his minor league career. “Just struggled a little bit,” Lee said. Lee delivered a pair of RBI singles — the first coming while hitting from the left side — in Minnesota's 6-2 win Saturday over the White Sox, including a two-out single in the eighth to effectively put the game on ice. Lee cooled a bit after his blistering start with the Twins when he was called up in early July.

7/14/24 Mike Yastrzemski triples, scores on error as Giants walk off Twins. A throwing error by second baseman Brooks Lee turned Mike Yastrzemski's ninth-inning triple into the San Francisco Giants' 3-2 walk-off win over the visiting Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon. In the final game of the first half for both teams, the Giants took a 2-0 lead into the ninth on the strength of Blake Snell's seven innings of one-hit ball and early RBI singles by Thairo Estrada and Patrick Bailey.

7/13/24 Brooks Lee: Up-And-Coming Dynasty Player. Welcome back to your favorite Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players article on the Internet. After a little vacation time, it is time to dive back into highlighting some of the top young players in MLB. This week I am not digging as deep into the player pool as I have in past weeks as I am highlighting Brooks Lee of the Minnesota Twins. Unless you are new to dynasty baseball, you should have at least heard of Lee. A standout a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Lee was drafted with the eighth pick in 2022 and quickly entered the 2023 season as a top 100 prospect by Baseball America (#45), MLB (#31), and Baseball Prospectus (#37). This year he started the season ranked 35th, 18th and 52nd by those three entities. Lee's 2024 season was put on hold during spring training when he was diagnosed with a herniated disc. The injury pushed the start of his season back and forced him to appear in some rehab games in the Rookie and Class A level before joining Triple-A St. Paul on June 5. While with the Saints, Lee slashed .329/.394/.635 with seven homers and 21 RBI in 20 games. When Royce Lewis landed on the IL (again), the Twins didn't hesitate to recall Lee from the Saints and insert him into the lineup at third base. Since making his debut on July 3, all Lee has done is hit, and his ability to do that at an elite level is what makes Lee an Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player.
