11/23/24 | Red Sox lose LHP on waivers to AL Central club. As the Boston Red Sox plan for the 2025 MLB season, they've had to make some adjustments to their roster, including exposing left-handed pitcher Bailey Horn to waivers. On Friday, the Detroit Tigers claimed Horn, leaving a 40-man roster spot open for the Red Sox. Boston acquired Horn in a trade with the Chicago White Sox for cash considerations in April. He was back and forth between Boston and Triple-A Worcester throughout the year, but at the MLB level, he struggled. In 18 starts for the Red Sox, he posted a 6.50 ERA and a 1.778 WHIP while striking out 13 batters over 18 innings. He was much better in Triple-A, recording a 2.15 ERA and 1.057 WHIP while striking out 35 batters over 29 1/3 innings. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/boston-red-sox... |
