12/22/24 | Chiefs offense hitting its stride with return of wide receiver Marquise Brown from injury. The Kansas City Chiefs have not been whole on offense all season, the byproduct of injuries to Marquise Brown on the very first game of the preseason and a season-ending injury to fellow wide receiver Rashee Rice at the end of September. The Chiefs were driving downfield but faced fourth-and-2 at the Texans 30, and Brown came open across the field for a 13-yard reception, resulting in a first down and eventually leading to a Kansas City touchdown. Brown, who is recovering from surgery to repair his SC joint, should have his window opened Friday or Monday. The team will be cautious,” Rapoport wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Brown has been trending in a promising direction over the past couple of weeks. Source: https://clutchpoints.com/chiefs-news-marquise-brow... |

10/09/24 | Chiefs predicted to land $21 million wide receiver at the trade deadline. There are few, if any teams in the NFL that have as big of a need at wide receiver as the Kansas City Chiefs currently do. After the Chiefs were looking solid at the position going into the season, things have changed drastically. Both Rashee Raice and Marquise Brown are not expected back until at least the playoffs, and quite possibly longer. Unsurprisingly, the Chiefs have managed to get by just fine, probably because they have the best football player on the planet at quarterback. 9/28/24 | Chiefs WR Rashee Rice motivated to continue elite play. With Marquise Brown out with an injury and Travis Kelce off to a slow start, the Kansas City Chiefs needed wide receiver Rashee Rice to be better than he was as a rookie last season. Rice is third in the NFL in catches (24) and fourth in yards (288) and the 3-0 Chiefs have no stronger candidate to be their early-season MVP. 9/13/24 | Marquise Brown headed to IR, Surgery needed.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective surgery, he would risk a more serious long-term injury. The surgery is scheduled for Monday with Dr. Peter Millett in Vail, CO, and the Chiefs will monitor his rehab progress throughout the season. (Jordan Schultz on X) FF Today's Take: Not great. We were originally expecting Brown to return in Week 3 but now the Chiefs must rely on rookie Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson as the starters opposite Rashee Rice. It's unclear how quickly he can return but the earliest would be Week 7 against the 49ers as the Chiefs have a bye in Week 6. It's also an option that he won't see the field this season. Worthy is solidified as a weekly Flex option with this news. Source: https://www.fftoday.com/news/index.php?Item=16155... |
9/09/24 | Chiefs' Marquise Brown 'getting close' to playing, though status for Week 2 vs Cincy remains unclear. Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown is “getting close” to being able to play, coach Andy Reid said Monday, though he declined to say whether there was a chance their big free-agent acquisition would be on the field for Week 2 against Cincinnati. Brown dislocated the sternoclavicular joint in his shoulder in the Chiefs' preseason opener. It is similar to the injury then-Kansas City wide receiver Tyreek Hill sustained in Week 1 of the 2019 season, causing him to miss the next four weeks.
