The New York Giants are mired in one of their worst seasons ever and fans are beginning to show their frustrations in the form of protest. Then, to make sure the point was hammered home, fans cheered as the Saints blocked a Graham Gano field goal with seconds remaining, securing the Giants' 11 loss of the season. 12/09/24 | Drew Lock picked to start for Giants vs. Ravens, but there's a catch. The New York Giants suffered another ugly loss in Week 14 at the hands of the New Orleans Saints, as a potential game-tying field goal from Graham Gano was blocked as time expired. Making matters even worse, starting quarterback Drew Lock was sent for X-rays after the game, meaning that New York could once again be forced into making a change at quarterback. There has been no semblance of consistency on offense for the Giants as of late, as they have rotated between Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, and Lock over the past few weeks after they cut ties with Jones. 12/08/24 | Giants fans celebrate going full tank mode to lose to Saints. The New York Giants suffered a 14-11 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, dropping them to 2-11 on the season, although some fans are happy with the loss due to the team staying on track to get a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. It looked as if the game would go into overtime, but Giants kicker Graham Gano had his kick blocked with eight seconds left. With the loss, the Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are the two teams left with just two wins on the season. The Raiders hold the edge over the Giants in the draft order at the moment due to having a weaker strength of schedule. Source: https://clutchpoints.com/giants-fans-celebrate-goi... |

The Giants also made two standard practice squad elevations: receiver Isaiah Hodgins, who will provide depth at receiver with Darius Slayton (concussion) having been ruled out, and linebacker Curtis Bolton, who will work on special teams where the Giants, after cutting Nick McCloud and with linebacker Matt Adams ailing, will give them some depth. 10/19/24 | Giants Special Teams Coordinator Michael Ghobrial on How He's Navigated Injuries. New York Giants special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial's first season as a full-fledged NFL STC has been challenging. Ghobiral, who has already shown creativity in how he schemes the various units, has had his job made more difficult thanks to the injuries to kicker Graham Gano, who has been on injured reserve since Week 3 with a hamstring strain, and punter Jamie Gillian, who will miss his second straight game with a hamstring issue to his kicking leg. “It's tough to deal with any injury,” said Ghobrial on Thursday. The Giants brought in kicker Greg Joseph to fill in for Gano, who, despite having been eligible to come off injured reserve this week, isn't quite ready and might not be ready until, at the soonest, after the team's Week 11 bye. 10/14/24 | Giants Sticking with Greg Joseph if Graham Gano Isn't Ready. New York Giants kicker Graham Gano, who's been on injured reserve for four weeks after straining his hamstring in a Week 2 loss at Washington, is eligible to have his 21-day window opened this week assuming he's made enough progress to inch toward a return. Gano has been spotted outside at the start of the Giants practices, the period open to the media, and has not appeared to do much in the way of any activity, though whether he's done stuff inside the field house or after practices close to the media is a possibility. Daboll's revelation could mean that Gano isn't that far off from returning to the point where it doesn't make sense to cut Joseph and bring in another kicker. 9/20/24 | Greg Joseph Has Leg Up in Giants' "Kicking Competition". New York Giants kicker Graham Gano is on injured reserve after injuring his hamstring last week, and the team signed veteran Greg Joseph to fill the roster spot. But according to special teams coordinator Micahel Ghobrial, they have not necessarily ruled out Jude McAtameny, who is currently on the practice squad, as the kicker of choice for Sunday. “[Joseph] showed up a couple days ago, and we have him and (kicker) Jude (McAtamney) competing for that kicker spot. It's going be a good competition,” Ghobrial said. “Obviously, what Greg brings to the table is a veteran guy that's kicked in multiple stadiums and that has had a good percentage throughout his career. 9/19/24 | Giants veteran calls Brian Daboll criticism 'ridiculous'. New York Giants kicker Graham Gano doesn't understand all the negativity around coach Brian Daboll's decision to not activate an extra kicker Sunday. Gano, who was already dealing with a groin injury, injured his hamstring on the first kickoff, essentially forcing the Giants to go without a field goal against the Washington Commanders kicker because Daboll didn't trust punter Jamie Gillian, who missed his first extra-point attempt.
